The Udan Family Blog

Welcome to our new family blog. When I started the process of building this blog, I was surprised to find that the name "UdanFamilyBlog" and already been taken. As I started to investigate, I found that the person that had already secured that name, was me. And surprisingly, I created the account several years ago. Not really sure what happen and why I never started to blog, but I sure am happy that I was able to keep the name!

When Melia was first born, Faye and I created a similar blog that was hosted on the Mac platform. After several years, we found that the money it cost to host the site simply just wasn't worth it. Then came the Facebook era.

Faye and I love Facebook! As I am sure many of you know. We are always on it. I have to admit, Facebook is very addicting. But the thing I love most about Facebook is the sense of community. If you every grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone, or a neighborhood were all of the neighbors know eachother, that's kind of how Facebook is. Simply put, it's a stage for all of us to get a glimpse of the life of our friends and family that we normally would not see or talk to on a regular basis. As great as Facebook is and as much fun as I have posting funny status updates about our life, it still really is just a glimpse.

The goal for our family blog is to give you more than just a glimpse into our family. We want to share with you more than just what we are doing right now, or what our plans are for tomorrow.  We want to share with you everything from now until eternity. We want to share our family's walk with God with as many people who care to listen. We believe that God put us here for one purpose. To share his love and his word. We are not a perfect family. We have problems just like everyone else. But we are committed to keeping Christ as the center of our family, the center of our life.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

We have adopted this as our family verse. My prayer for this blog is that it will become our family's testimony to share God's never ending love for all of us.
